Pattern Testing: Safari Helmet – CLOSED

I am so excited that my newest pattern is almost ready, the Safari Helmet! I’m just looking for some testers – do you want to help? This pattern is rated intermediate and you will need to understand the FPdc and its placement to be able to test it.

Guidelines for Pattern Testing

It is really important to me that my patterns are clear and easy-to-follow with no mistakes. I have had some really great testers who have put a lot of effort and attention to detail into the testing process. I always appreciate their efforts to help me produce the best patterns possible!

I know there are lots of people who would like to test and I want to give everyone the opportunity. I will be choosing testers at random from the comments below tonight (Friday June 15th) at midnight EST. All testers will need to return pictures and notes/corrections by email to me by 7pm EST on Monday, June 18th. Pictures will only be for me to see how your projects turned out and how it fits; pictures will not be shared in any way. If you cannot complete the project in the time allotted or do not feel comfortable with FPdc, please do not sign up. There will be more opportunities in the future to test and win free patterns.

Testers who return their pictures and notes in the given time frame will receive a free copy of the final pattern they tested, as well as a coupon code for 50% off any current or future pattern of their choice. If I do not hear back from you, you will be ineligible to test in the future.

If you are interested in testing, please leave one comment below indicating your preference of sizes to test. You are welcome to list as many sizes as you are able to have “modeled” for the picture you send to me (again, I will not post or share your pictures!). I will choose two testers for each size, so please be sure to list your size preferences in order starting with your first choice all in one comment.

Pattern Testing: Big Button Interchangeable Flowers – Set 2 – CLOSED

Everything is in bloom here in central PA with all the beautiful weather we had been having lately, and it got me in the mood to make another set of Big Button Interchangeable Flowers. This second set includes instructions for four flowers – Carnation, Daisy, Poppy and Marigold – that all fit on a 1.5″ button.

It is extremely important to me that my patterns are clear and easy-to-follow with no mistakes. I know there are lots of people who would like to test and I want to give everyone the opportunity. I will be choosing three testers at random from the comments below on Monday, March 26th at noon EST. The testers will be responsible for testing all four flower designs. All testers will need to return pictures and notes/corrections by email to me by Thursday, March 29th. Pictures will only be for me to see how your projects turned out; pictures will not be shared in any way. If you cannot complete the project in the time allotted, please do not sign up. Pattern Testing: Houndstooth Hat – CLOSED

I hope you guys aren’t getting sick of houndstooth because I don’t think I ever could! Apparently I’m not the only one either, as I have had several requests for a houndstooth hat pattern after releasing my houndstooth accessories pattern. I already have one tester for the teen/adult size (chosen for requesting this pattern), but I am still looking for several more. Please read the guidelines and leave one comment below. Thanks!

Pattern Testing: Hugs and Kisses Headwrap -Closed

I just love all the crochet and knit headwraps you see everywhere lately, and have been wanting to add some to my pattern collection. I call this one the Hugs and Kisses Headwrap because the stitches make little X’s and O’s. It can be made in two colors to really highlight the X’s and O’s, or just in one color for a fun textured look.

It is extremely important to me that my patterns are clear and easy-to-follow with no mistakes. I know there are lots of people who would like to test and I want to give everyone the opportunity. I will be choosing testers at random from the comments below on Tuesday, December 6th at noon EST. All testers will need to return pictures and notes/corrections by email to me by Thursday, December 8th. I know this is a really short amount of time, but this project is small and should not take long. Pictures will only be for me to see how your projects turned out and how it fits; pictures will not be shared in any way. If you cannot complete the project in the time allotted, please do not sign up.

I will be choosing four tester – two to complete a two-color headwrap and two to complete a solid color headwrap. If you are interested in testing, please leave one comment below indicating your preference of which to test. The first four numbers selected will get to test the pattern, but I will try to give you your first preference if possible.

Thank you so much for your time and willingness to help!

Guatemala Hat Project

In October, a friend of mine went on a mission trip to Guatemala to help out in a malnutrition center. Brandie was extremely touched by the experience and wanted to find a way to continue blessing the babies and children from the center after she returned home. She decided to use her crochet talents to make fun hats to send to all the children at the center. She needs some help to reach her goal, so I was hoping I could call on some of my crochet friends.

I think it is so important to use the gifts we are given to give back and help others. Please check out Brandie’s blog to read about her experience and her Guatemala Hat Project, and consider helping out. To say thank you, I am offering a free pattern of choice to anyone who makes a donation. Again, please see Brandie’s blog for the full details on the project, but here are a few guidelines to be eligible for a free pattern from my shop:

  • Fun animal hats are preferred, but any hat that is bright and cheery will work. Brandie is collecting hats in all sizes from newborn to child.
  • Hats must be postmarked by Friday, November 11th to make it to Brandie on time. You can find her address here. I’m sorry this doesn’t give you much time, but the hats need to get to the children before it gets too cold.
  • One free pattern per person, but please feel free to donate as many hats as you would like.
  • Please include your name and email in with your donation so that I can send your free pattern code.

Thank you so much for giving of your time and talents! I know the love you put into your hats will be felt by all these children!!
