Pattern Giveaway Day 2: Train Conductor Hat – CLOSED

Thank you to everyone who participated in the penguin hat pattern giveaway yesterday and congratulations to the winners! I’m really excited about day two of the giveaway because the train conductor hat is one of my favorites.

With two little boys, we are huge train fans at our house. In fact, my 2 year-old’s favorite phrase is “All aboard!” He loves this hat, but it isn’t just for little boys. The train conductor hat looks great on everyone!

There are just so many different things to do with this pattern. You can make this in different colors, leave it plain, or add a newsboy strap, flower or other embellishment. The pattern includes instructions for five sizes, a picture tutorial for working the hat pleats, and instructions to make the strap and doodle flower.

Here are your three chances to win this pattern! You need to leave a separate comment below for each entry to get your three chances:

  1. Tell me what you would do with this pattern. Would you make a traditional train conductor hat, or would you make it in a different color? Or with a newsboy strap, flower or other embellishment?
  2. Like Micah Makes on Facebook (just post “AAF” if you are already a fan).
  3. Share a link to this blog post on your Facebook page or blog.

Three winners will be chosen at random at midnight PST, and will be announced tomorrow morning. Also, don’t forget to use promo code BOGOHALF in the pattern store only to buy one pattern, get one 50% off through July 31st. Thanks for joining in the fun and good luck! See you tomorrow for the next giveaway!

And the winners are….

I would make 2 of these hats, the first would be pink with a flower for my 3 yr old daughter and the second would be blue for my 2 yr old who is infatuated with Thomas the Tank Engine. He already has a train table and the hat would be perfect. My daughter loves the girl engines from Thomas, Rosie and Emily

This hat has a nice profile … and you’re right, it would look good on anyone! Thanks for the nice giveaway! It would make the perfect accessory for me to wear in the CBCF CIBC Run for the Cure in October 2011!

I shared on my business page and AAF.

    Such a cute pattern!

First and foremost I would make on in navy for my blue-eyed little boy. Then I would probably make a few for his preschool buddies to get ready for Christmas. I would put flowers or pretty buttons on the ones for the girls. Then, maybe (if I had your permission) I would probably offer it for sale on my etsy page.

This pattern is just precious! I think it would look good on boys and girls. I might even make one for myself!

    thanks!
